The Moscow State Center for Youth has been set up 1936. Now is the biggest multi-profile state institution providing supplementary education for children in Moscow. It is located in the heart of Moscow near Lomonosov Moscow State University and works in close cooperation with the University.

The Center has a number of well-equipped research laboratories, music and dance halls, and a lot more. It is a center of cooperation of scientists, teachers, children and their parents in the field of modern technology, culture, sports, natural sciences, arts, social sciences, humanities, and folklore.

The basic principle behind the institution is to treat young people as researchers, capable of and encouraged to make scientific discoveries themselves.

At present 16 thousand children aged 6-18 arestudying at the Center. Now there are 1200 profile groups ( 93% of them are free of charge) here. Also the Center holds more than 360 educational programs.

The Moscow State Center for Youth gives children the best opportunities to develop their creativity, acquire deep knowledge in science and technology, IT, ethnography, sports, ecology, folklore. The teachers and the students work together both at regular classes in the Center and in special science camps, profile camps, conferences, expeditions and tours all over Russia.
